I have to say, I really like the little miniDSP unit. It fulfils a useful purpose, it’s easy to use, and it’s cheap to boot. It doesn’t pretend to be the ultimate anything – you plug it in, and it “just works.” Plain and simple, but also powerful.
So, I’ve decided to write a series of tutorials on it, as I think that perhaps some well-written articles will help people cut through the (inevitable – it is DSP after all) jargon and see how they might use it for themselves. My first tutorial is now published on hifizine.com, it’s called “Subwoofer integration and equalization with the miniDSP 2×4.”
I’m thinking of perhaps doing a four-way open baffle project for the next tutorial. Your thoughts?
